Cars are pretty cool. I like them. Earlier today my mum told me a story about how when I was a less than a year old, I would spill drinks on the coffee table and drift my toy cars through the puddles. I could barely talk, but somehow I had a concept of cars being more than just a means of travel. How is that even possible?
To me, that is a clear sign that cars are a fundamental part of who I am.
Creating content around cars has always been something I've enjoyed, but always fell short in terms of commitment. The 'Cars Are Cool' project is a way for me to create content, with little to no pressure, in turn making it an achievable commitment.
I often see cars in the street, take a photo then never do anything with it. I tried starting an Instagram specifically for cars but again, never felt committed to it. With this project, I am aiming to just have fun, take photos of cool cars and eventually get to the point where hopefully people get in touch with me to shoot their cars.
My kit includes an iPhone 7 Plus, Canon EOS M, Canon 70D, Canon TLb film camera, Olympus Trip 35 film camera, Fuji Instax film camera and Polaroid One Shot film camera all with various lenses, flashes and accessories. All the photos within the project will be taken with these cameras.
